Lot 280. 8 Wheaties or Grape Nuts 1930s-50s Ads with DiMaggio, Mantle, Dean, Grove, Kaline. This lot starts with a Lefty Grove Wheaties endorsement in a 2.25” x 2” inset in a full-page ad. There are two different 1941 Joe DiMaggio Wheaties ads – one full-page (10.5” x 13.5”) in color from 1941 and one b&w and 5.5” x 11”. Wheaties also receives support in a 1956 two-page ad featuring Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Ted Kluszewski and Al Kaline. Also, a 10.75” x 15.5” color comic 1951 Wheaties ad with a baseball setting and artwork by Graham Hunter. Three different 1935 Dizzy Dean Winners ads for Grape Nuts feature prizes, including a bat pin, ring and good luck piece. These b&w ads are 5” x 13”. The overall condition of this group is vg-ex.
