Lot 275.  Terry Bradshaw Nm-M 8 to Mint 9 Silver Sharpie Autograph on a Mint Football. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback signed a panel of a Wilson Official NFL Paul Tagliabue On Field Authentic NFL Game Ball and added “HOF 89.” Accomplishments: Pro and College Football Hall of Fame member. First quarterback to win three Super Bowls, and then four. 1979 NFL MVP, two-time Super Bowl MVP, two-time NFL leader in touchdown passes, 1978 first-team All Pro, three-time Pro Bowl selection, 1978 Bert Bell Award (as NFL Player of the Year), 1979 “Sports Illustrated” Sportsman of the Year, No. 44 on the 1999 “Sporting News” list of “Football’s 100 Greatest Players.” TV sports analyst and co-host of “Fox NFL Sunday” since 1994. Occasional singer with three charted country records. Also, some guest acting appearances. When Bradshaw retired, Art Rooney, the Steelers’ owner, called him the greatest quarterback of all time. Lot 276.  5 Pittsburgh Steelers Autographs, Including HoFer Cowher, Plus 4 Unsigned HoF Cards. All of these autographs have been pre-certified by PSA and come with a Collectible Classics Letter of Authenticity. To receive full PSA authentication, please see our auction rules. The autograph of Pro Football Hall of Fame member Bill Cowher is gem mint 10 on his 1992 Pro Set card; SGC Authentic has rated the card Authentic and encased it. Two autographs are gem mint 10 on color 8” x 10” photos – Joe Gilliam (died 2000) in a Steelers action photo, and Amos Zereoue, in a composite with two images of him as a West Virginia University running back. Two other signatures are gem mint 10 on cards – Rashard Mendenhall as an Illinois running back on an Upper Deck 2008 Rookie Heroes card mint, 04/75, and John Clay, as a Wisconsin running back nm-m, on a Press Pass Authentics 2011 card. Clay scored one touchdown in an NFL career that began and ended with the Steelers in 2001. The four 1988 Pro Football Hall of Fame cards are of Franco Harris, Mike Webster, John Henry Johnson and Chuck Noll. These 4” x 6” cards feature excellent artwork. Nm. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.

Lot 277.  1975 Super Bowl Champs Beer Can Panel Signed by Pittsburgh Free Safety Glen Edwards. In seven seasons with the Steelers, Edwards helped the team to win two Super Bowls, IX in 1975 and X in 1976. In both seasons, he was selected for the Pro Bowl. He was the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1974. Edwards’ autograph is mint 9 on a 5” x 8” Iron City Beer metal panel that pictures the 1975 Super Bowl champion team, including Bradshaw, Harris and other stars. Edwards is #27. These panels were used for the sides of beer cans. This panel has a minor crease in the upper left corner. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.

Lot 278.  12 Signed Photos - HoFers Ham and Krause, 9 More by Steelers, 1 by Ervins. Ham and Krause each placed a gem mint 10 autograph on an 8” x 10” color action photo with his image. Ham added “#59,” and Krause, “HOF 98.” Both had Hall of Fame careers. A top linebacker, Ham entered the Pro Hall of Fame in 1988 and the College HoF in 1990. In 1999, “The Sporting News” ranked him 47th on its list of “Football’s 100 Greatest Players.” Krause was a HoF safety for the Redskins and Vikings. Other color 8 x 10s are autographed by these Steelers: Matt Kranchick (2), mint 9 autographs; Neil O’Donnell (added “#14”) and Kordell Stewart (added “10”), both gem mint 10. Ricky Ervins is the other signer who didn’t play for Pittsburgh. He was a running back for the Redskins and 49ers. His signature is nm-m 8 with “#32” added. Five autographs on b&w photos are personalized to Wil, Will or Wilmer: Lloyd Voss (died 2007), 7” x 10” glossy photo, mint 9 autograph; Mark Malone, mint 9 signature, and Rich Erenberg, ex-m 6 to nm 7, on lithographed 8.5” x 10.5” photos; and Norm Johnson (2), mint 9 on 5” x 7” lithographed photos. An additional 5” x 7” color photo is personalized “To Wil” and signed by Pittsburgh sportscaster Stan Savran, ex to ex-m signature on a dark background. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.

Lot 279.  3 Pittsburgh Steelers Mini-Helmets Single-Signed by Jack Lambert and 2 Other Players. The other signers, each on a separate Riddell mini-helmet, are Russell Stuvaints and Carey Davis. Lambert’s signature in gold is gem mint 10 on a mint Riddell mini-helmet. He added “HOF 90.” The Steelers middle linebacker in eight of his 11 seasons in Pittsburgh, Lambert was the 1974 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, the 1976 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, a first-team All-Pro six times and a Super Bowl champion four times. He was selected for nine consecutive Pro Bowls. “The Sporting News” placed him 30th on its list of “Football’s 100 Greatest Players” in 1999. Only three linebackers ranked higher. Stuvaints was a defensive back and special teams player with the Steelers’ in 2004 and 2005. He was on the Super Bowl XL team. His signature, as “R Stuvaints,” is gem mint 10, and he added his uniform number and “Super Bowl XL Champs.” Davis was a Steelers fullback from 2007-09. He became the starting fullback during the 2007 season, when he also led special teams in tackles with 17. In Super Bowl XLIII, which Pittsburgh won, he caught a pass, returned two punts and made a solo tackle. Davis now works for ESPN in St. Louis and coaches a high school football team. His signature is ex-m 6 to nm 7, and he added his uniform number. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.

Lot 280.  Super Bowl XLIII Program Signed by Roethlisberger, Polamalu, Ward, Rooney, 12 More. In the Feb. 1, 2009 contest represented by this 240-page program, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 27-23. Steelers’ wide receiver Santonio Holmes was the MVP. Sixteen Steelers autographed the cover of the program, which is ex-m+ with a crease on the first inside page. Their signatures are mint 9 and gem mint 10. Three signers are members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame – team owner Dan Rooney, strong safety Troy Polamalu and coach and former cornerback Dick LeBeau. At least three signers have a reasonable case for future enshrinement at Canton – quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, head coach Mike Tomlin and wide receiver Hines Ward. The other players that autographed the program cover are Larry Foote, James Farrior, Holmes, Brett Keisel, Rashard Mendenhall, Heath Miller, Mewelde Moore, Ike Taylor and LaMarr Woodley. Lot 281.  2011 Steelers Team Photo Signed by 18 – D. Rooney, Tomlin, Polamalu, Heyward, Etc. The players in this 8.5” x 11” lithographed color photo are identified. Three Pro Hall of Fame members are among the signers – owner Dan Rooney, strong safety Troy Polamalu and coach and former cornerback Dick LeBeau. Head coach Mike Tomlin and offensive coordinator Bruce Arians also signed; Arians added “O.C.” The other autographs were added to the photo by Antonio Brown, Ryan Clark, James Harrison, Cam Heyward, Brett Keisel, Byron Leftwich, Rashard Mendenhall, Heath Miller, Isaac Redman, Aaron Smith, Ike Taylor, Lawrence Timmons and LaMarr Woodley. Generally, the autographs are nm-m 8 or better. A few are on a dark background. The photo has several creases along the left edge. The 2011 Steelers finished second in the AFC North with a 12-4 record. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.

Lot 282.  Andy Russell Limited-Edition Book Signed by Bleier, Lambert, Ham, Greene and Blount. Russell’s 1998 book “A Steeler Odyssey” provides profiles of teammates and stories from his 12-season career as a Steelers linebacker. Limited to 500 numbered copies, this leather-bound edition is autographed by Russell, Rocky Bleier, Jack Lambert and Jack Ham on the second inside page, Joe Greene on the next page, and Mel Blount on the following page. These pages are otherwise blank, and the autographs are mint 9 to gem mint 10 in pen. A seven-time Pro Bowl selection, Russell helped Pittsburgh to win Super Bowls IX and X. In 272 pages, Russell focuses more on his personal interactions with his teammates than on their awards and statistics. Bleier wrote the Foreword. The book, #81 of 500, is nm-m and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity for Sports Publishing Inc. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.

Lot 283.  Hines Ward Gem Mint 10 Silver Sharpie Autograph on a Wilson “The Duke” NFL Football. Roger Goodell is the NFL Commissioner whose facsimile signature is on this nm-m football, which has two small stains on a blank panel. Ward added his uniform number, 86, to his autograph, which occupies most of one panel. He played his entire NFL career as a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ward ranks 14th on the NFL's all-time receptions list (1,000), 27th in receiving yardage (12,083) and is tied for 16th in touchdown receptions (85). He is the Steelers’ all-time leader in these categories. Other Accomplishments: Two-time Super Bowl champion, XL and XLIII, and Super Bowl XL MVP. Three-time second-team All-Pro. Four-time Pro Bowl selection. Second only to Herschel Walker in all-purpose yards at the University of Georgia. In 2011, with partner Kym Johnson, won Season 12 of “Dancing with the Stars.” Now head coach of the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.

Lot 284.  12 Pittsburgh Steelers Autographs on the Cover of a 1963 Washington Redskins Program. And one member of the Washington team as well. The Steelers that signed the front cover of the Nov. 17 program are Ernie Stautner, Gary Ballman, Jim Bradshaw, Roy Curry, Buddy Dial, Glenn Glass, Mike Nixon, Terry Nofsinger, Buzz Nutter, Jim Sandusky and Ron Stehouwer. Bob Schmitz autographed the back cover, and so did Tim Temerario, a member of the Redskins’ coaching staff and the team’s director of player personnel from 1965-78. The autographs are nm-m 8. A defensive tackle, Stautner was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1969. An All-American receiver at Rice, Dial was elected to the College Hall of Fame in 1993. Except for Curry, Glass and Sandusky, all of these players have passed away. The 68-page program, ex+ with the center folio loose, is extensively illustrated with photos of a Redskins-Cardinals game and also has photos of Steelers Dial and Myron Pottios.
