4 Kentucky Derby Pennants Including 1988 and 2000.

Lot 617. 4 Kentucky Derby Pennants Including 1988 and 2000. Winning Colors won the 1988 Run for the Roses, one of only three fillies ever to do so, and Fusaichi Pegasus was the 2000 winner. Winning Colors is in the United States Racing Hall of Fame. Both pennants for these races are full-sized. The 1988 pennant for “Kentucky Derby 114” is ex-m with very slight wear on the tip and a crease nearby that is evident close-up. The pennant for the “126th Kentucky Derby 2000” is beautifully designed and mint. A third full-sized pennant is undated for the Kentucky Derby Festival. This colorful pennant has six illustrations, including Churchill Downs, hot air balloons, the horse Pegasus and a steamboat. Ex to ex-m. A pennant 17.25” long has white graphics on a blue background. Nm. The pennant says “Kentucky Derby” and has an illustration with “Churchill Downs” below. All four pennants were made without tassels, and all are free of pin or tack holes. Winning Bid $10.
