Lot 390. 5 Photos – 4 Wire Photos - of Connie Mack. In a March 3, 1943 International News photo, Mack gives his players some “fatherly advice,” p-f. An Acme Newspictures photo shows Mack walking with an apparent executive, and another pictures him with a group of executives. Both are undated and vg+. In a Feb. 4, 1941 Acme photo, Mack considers his lineup as he prepares for spring training in Los Angeles. Edge chip, otherwise vg-ex, looks better. In a Dec. 22, 1941 photo, Mack shoots film of members of the Philadelphia Baseball Writers Association at a luncheon for his 79th birthday. He wears his hat backwards because he saw it done in Hollywood. Vg-ex. Photos range from 6” x 8” to 8” x 10”. Winning Bid $20.
