Lot 344. Circa 1950 Metal Trash Can with Baseball Artwork. The elliptical can stands 11.5” high and is 8” across in one direction and 11.25” across in the other. Eight pennants, each with the team name of a National League ball club, circle the top of the can. Eight American League pennants are at the bottom. Among them is a pennant for the “Browns,” at team that vacated St. Louis in 1953 and became the Orioles of Baltimore in 1954. One side of the can has graphics of a pitcher throwing to a batter with a catcher and umpire in the background. The other side shows game action with all nine fielders. The can has a number of scratches, a few small dents, some rust at the top and bottom and small areas of paint loss. It could be an interesting and even useful addition to a baseball or sports room.
