The Dodgers were looking to repeat as National League Champions. The Lon Keller cover of the vg 24-page unscored program acknowledges the team’s 1953 success. The program has an article on future Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston and an accompanying photo, as well as a full-page ad with Alston endorsing Luck Strike cigarettes. A half page has photos of National League stars - Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Duke Snider, Eddie Mathews, Ralph Kiner, Robin Roberts, Ted Kluszewski and Frank Thomas.
