Lot 309. Rockne Postcard, Brodie & Glickman Autographs, Packers and an O.J. Simpson Print. An interesting assortment of football collectibles: 1. An unused chrome postcard of Knute Rockne with a facsimile autograph. Ex. 2. John Brodie ex 5 autograph on a g 1973 Topps card #45. The 49ers quarterback is in the College Hall of Fame and earned various NFL Awards, including 1970 league MVP. 3. Marty Glickman mint 9 to gem mint 10 signature on a 2.5” x 3.25” magazine photo showing him as a football player. In the 1930s, Glickman was a track and field and football star at Syracuse. He became a radio announcer and a sportscaster famous for his broadcasts of New York Giants and Jets football games and New York Knicks basketball games. He died in 2001. 4. Jim Plunkett gem mint 10 autograph on 1981 Topps football card #335. Enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame, he was an All-American quarterback at Stanford and played professionally for the Patriots, 49ers and Raiders. He helped the Raider to win two Super Bowls. 5. An 8” x 10” composite color photo of the Green Bay Packers, Super Bowl XXXI Champions, ex-m, background scuff in the upper right corner. 6. An O. J. Simpson 20” x 26” Limited Edition Print with A. Douglas Artwork. This print portrays Simpson as a football player for USC, the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers and as a broadcaster for NBC. Dated 1995, it is nm, signed by Douglas (not Simpson) and numbered #270 of 2,000; it has a Simpson facsimile autograph. Also, an 8 x 10 color photo of a Dallas Cowboys defensive back wearing #24; nm.
