Lot 307. 1933 Comiskey Park Official Score Book. On July 6, 1933, Major League Baseball played its first All-Star game – at Comiskey Park in Chicago. The American League won, 4-2. As part of a losing effort, the National League’s Carl Hubbell struck out five of the American League’s best hitters – in succession: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmy Foxx, Al Simmons and Joe Cronin. This four-page scorebook is NOT for the All-Star game. But it does have the same cover graphics as that 1933 All-Star Game Official Score Book. The program – which is an original, not a reprint – is split midway along the spine and has edge chips and various creases. The pages remain attached, and the text is complete. F-g. Minimum Bid $25.
