Lot 305. August 1954 Issue of “Playboy” Magazine. Fantasy by Ray Bradbury titled “The Flying Machine,” humor by Robert C. Ruark and cartoons by Hef are among the highlights of this issue. Arline Hunter, an actress and model, was the “Playmate of the Month.” Her centerfold was the first that was not purchased by Hugh Hefner from the John Baumgarth Co. Ed DeLong was the photographer. In the 1960s, he provided many of the magazine’s “Playmate” photographs. Hunter had a limited TV and movie career through the 1960s. Vg+ to ex. Minimum Bid $50.
