Lot 247. Matt Leinart Mint 9 to Gem Mint 10 Autograph on a Mint Wilson “The Duke” NFL Football. Paul Tagliabue is the NFL Commissioner whose facsimile signature appears on this football. At quarterback for USC, Leinart was the 2004 Heisman Trophy recipient. A junior, he captured the award after leading the Trojans to an undefeated season and to a victory in the BCS National Championship Game against Oklahoma. In 2005, Leinart again led the USC to an undefeated regular season. In the 2006 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Arizona Cardinals. In seven NFL seasons, he was a back-up for the Cardinals, Texans and Raiders. He was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 2017. He now is a sports analyst for Fox Sports. Other accomplishments: 2004 Rose Bowl MVP, Walter Camp Award winner, AP Player of the Year, ESPN.com Player of the Year. 2005 Orange Bowl MVP, Unitas Award winner, Heisman Trophy finalist, “Sporting News” Sportsman of the Year.
