Lot 193. 8 Baseball Autographs and 15 Unsigned New York Mets Photos – Seaver, Gooden,` Vaughn, Etc. Tom Seaver signed an 11” x 14” photo that shows him addressing the pre-game crowd at Shea Stadium on “Tom Seaver Day.” Ralph Kiner is in the photo. Below his mint 9 signature, Seaver added the date of the event, “7-24-88.” Seaver was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1992 on his first ballot with 98.84 percent of the votes cast. He passed away last year. Unless otherwise noted, the other autographs are nm-m 8 or better. Color 8” x 10” photos are signed by Rob Deer (hurried nm 7 signature), Al Leiter (Yankees uniform), Darren Reed and Hubie Brooks (Expos uniform). Lenny Dykstra signed the cover of a 1985 Norfolk Tides program, and Doc Gooden placed his autograph on his photo on the cover of the July 29, 1985 “Sporting News.” Pete Harnisch autographed a b&w photo that advertises Outrage Sportswear, and Mo Vaughn, an 8” x10” color photo that is part of a 15.25” x 12.25” framed display. Three unsigned photos are offset prints: the 1996 Mets team, the 1997 team, and Sept. 14, 1996, Todd Hundley after setting a record for home runs in a season by a catcher. The 8” x 10” photos show the cover of the 1962 Mets yearbook and a variety of players, including Leiter, and Gary Carter and Keith Hernandez. Winning Bid $25.
