Lot 190. 1927 Photo of Yankees’ Infielders - Gehrig and Lazzeri and Signed by Koenig and Dugan. The 1927 Yankees team is widely regarded as the best ever in Major League Baseball. Mark Koenig and “Joe” Dugan autographed this 8” x 10” black & white photo, which is ex+. Covering shortstop for the Yankees from 1925-30, Koenig helped the team win World Championships in 1927 and 1928. At third base from 1922-28, Dugan contributed to these two titles and another in 1923. First baseman Lou Gehrig and second baseman Tony Lazzeri are pictured. Dugan died in 1982, and Koenig, in 1993. He was the last surviving member of the Yankees’ 1927 World Championship team. The autographs are mint 9. Winning Bid $55.
