Lot 174. 2 Sets and 1 Near Set of Quintex Mobile Communications 1993 Pittsburgh Pirates Cards. Each complete set comprises 39 cards, including a coupon card good for a cellular transportable bag phone. The coupon is missing from the near set. These cards are approximately 3.5” x 5.75” with color photos on the front and black & white backs. The set consists of Stan Belinda, Jay Bell, Steve Blass (announcer), John Candelaria, Dave Clark, Terry Collins, Steve Cooke, Kent Derdivanis (announcer), Rich Donnelly (coach), Tom Foley, Lanny Frattare (announcer), Carlos Garcia, Jeff King, Jim Leyland (manager), Al Martin, Milt May (coach), Lloyd McClendon, Orlando Merced, Ray Miller (coach), Blas Minor, Dennis Moeller, Denny Neagle, Dave Otto, Tom Prince, Jim Rooker (announcer), Tommy Sandt, Ted Simmons (GM, now a Hall of Fame member), Don Slaught, Lonnie Smith, Zane Smith, Randy Tomlin, Andy Van Slyke, Bill Virdon (coach), Paul Wagner, Tim Wakefield, Bob Walk, John Wehner, and Kevin Young. The general manager and announcer cards are unnumbered. The other cards have the manager, coach or player’s number on the back. The McClendon and Wehner cards share No. 22. These cards are nm to nm-m. IMPORTANT NOTE: One source has this set at 45 cards instead of 39. We have not seen the cards or photos of them. This lot is sold as is. It includes 114 player, coach or manager cards plus two coupon cards. Winning Bid $20.
