Lot 174. 4 PSA-Certified Autographs – Dugan, Farrell, Mostil and Vander Meer. These signatures are on are 1960s baseball cards that are encapsulated and ungraded. Three cards are from Fleer’s 1961 issue: Joe Dugan, nm 7 to nm-m 8 autograph, third baseman for four teams including the Yankees, three-time World Series champion, died 1982. Johnny Mostil, nm-m 8 autograph, Chicago White Sox third baseman, 1918 and 1921-29, two-time A.L. stolen base leader, .301 career batter, died 1970. Johnny Vander Meer, vg-ex 4 autograph, pitched consecutive no-hitters in 1938, four-time All-Star and three-time N.L. strikeout leader, died 1997. And Turk Farrell, signed his 1966 Topps card, nm 7 autograph, pitched for the Phillies, Dodgers and Houston, five-time All-Star, died in 1977 at age 43 in an auto accident in England.
