Lot 147. 87 Hostess Cards, 1976, 1977, 1979 – in 29 Neatly Cut 3-Card Panels – Including Ryan. Seventeen panels have a Hall of Fame player, and other stars are present. The 1979 panel with Nolan Ryan is completely bordered by the trim line. The Montanez card has a crease; the Ryan and Ozzie Smith cards are mint. Here is the complete list – 1976 (9 panels): #43-45, 52-54, 64-66 with Fisk and Rose, 124-126 (2) with McCovey and Luzinski, 127-129 with Rice and Concepcion, 133-135 with Parker, 145-147 with Reggie Jackson, and 148-150 with Yastrzemski. 1977 (2 panels): #94-96 with Concepcion and 148-150. 1979 (18 panels): #37-39 with Carew, 40-42, 43-45 with Simmons and Griffey Sr., 52-54 (2) with Parker, 64-66 with Evans and Seaver, 91-93 (4) with Sutton, 94-96 (3), 97-99 with Horner, 100-102 with Ryan and Smith, 103-105 with Stargell, and 106-108 (2) with Fisk, Foster and Hernandez. On almost every panel, the trim line is present the whole way around each card. The panels average nm. Winning Bid $125.
