Lot 111. 28 Autographs – 12 HoF – Doby, Feller, Hubbell, Kiner, Lopez, Niekro, Spahn, Etc. Almost one-half of these autographs were placed on various media by Hall of Fame members. The signers represent five teams – the NY Giants, Indians, Pirates White Sox, and Yankees. Unless otherwise noted, the autographs are nm-m 8 or better. The Hall of Fame autographs are by: Bob Feller, b&w 3.5” x 5” photo. Waite Hoyt, b&w 3.5” x 5” photo, Hoyt in street clothes. Carl Hubbell, 1.75” x 2.75” photo removed for a 4-in-1 reproduction exhibit card. Al Lopez, two different, a b&w 3.5” x 4.75” photo with the Indians and a b&w 3.25” x 5.5” magazine photo with the White Sox. Phil Niekro, color 2.5” x 3.5” photo. Warren Spahn, color postcard with him in an Indians uniform. Hoyt Wilhelm, b&w photo trimmed to 2.5” x 3.25,” including his autograph at the top. Also, four HoF autographs are on small, irregular sections of paper – about 0.75” x 1.75” to 1” x 3” – Rich Gossage, Larry Doby, Ralph Kiner and Early Wynn. The Doby autograph has a small piece of tape at the top of the “L.” Three ink lines cross the second half of Gossage’s last name. The Kiner and Wynn signatures are nm-m 8 with little or no border. Brewers autographs: Ted Kubiak, nm 7, McCarthy postcard. Charlie Moore, nm 7 to nm-m 8, b&w 3.75” x 5.5” team-issued lithographed photo. Expos: Russ Nixon, postcard. Indians: Don Dillard, b&w 3.25” x 5.5” lithographed photo. Mickey Grasso (personalized), vg+ to ex 4.5, b&w 3.5” x 5.75” photo. Chuck Hinton, postcard. Ken Keltner (personalized), 3.5” x 5” photo. Dale Mitchell, 1947-66 exhibit card, PSA/DNA certified and slabbed. Pirates: Bob Friend, 1947-66 exhibit card. Nellie King, nm 7, very strong autograph on the partially dark background of a b&w 4” x 6” team-issued photo. Joe Lonnett and Al Monchak, each on a color 3.75” x 4.75” lithographed photo. Dick Schofield, b&w 4” x 5” photo from the team. Hal Smith, nm 7 autograph, b&w 3.5” x 5” snapshot. Senators: Bob Wiesler (personalized), b&w 3.5” x 4.5” Don Wingfield photo. Ed Yost, nm 7, b&w 4” x 5” photo. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified. Winning Bid $61.
