Lot 124. Assortment of 46 Baseball Cards, 1927-73, Plus a 1969 Set of Playing Cards. Cards in this collection are from Kahn’s, Fleer, Topps and other sources. The earliest card is a 1927 W512 of Everett Scott, #7 in the set, with the Chicago White Sox. This strip card is 1 5/16” x 2 5/16”, neatly cut from a sheet of cards, and vg-ex. The playing card set of 52 was issued by Globe Imports in 1969. These blank-back cards are approximately 1 11/16” x 2 ¼” and feature black & white player photos on white paper slightly thicker than paper commonly used for printing. Among the players are Mays, Rose, Banks, Seaver and both Robinsons. This set is consistent with a Beckett checklist; it does not include the Mickey Mantle variation for the ace of spades.
