Lot 422.  Willie Mays Autograph on an 8” x 10” Photo on a 9” x 12” Wood Plaque. Two holes are in the border of the photo from being mounted on the plaque, which is nm. Signature is a sharpie 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Winning Bid $35.

Lot 423.  Bill Monbouquette Handwritten Letter Concerning His 1962 No-Hitter. On August 1, 1962, Monbouquette pitched a no-hitter for the Boston Red Sox against the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park. In a May 21, 1983 handwritten letter to “Fred,” he wrote, “In answer to your question, the last batter I faced was Luis Apracio (sic) and I struck him out for the no-hitter.” He added, “I am now working for the N.Y. Mets. Special assignments.” The letter is on a plain 8 ½” x 11 sheet of paper. All writing, including the signature, is a 10. Monbouquette now serves as a pitching coach for a Detroit farm team. He was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2000. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Minimum Bid $25.

Lot 424.  Dave Morehead Handwritten Letter Concerning His 1965 No-Hitter. At Fenway Park on Sept. 16, 1965, Boston’s Dave Morehead came within a walk of a perfect game as the Red Sox defeated Cleveland, 2-0. Because of the walk to Rocky Colavito, he had to settle for a no-hitter as he faced the minimum number of batters, 27. In a handwritten response on an 8 ½” x 11” unlined page dated June 4, 1983, Morehead wrote, “…I do recall who was the last batter I retired in my no-hitter. It was Vic Davaillo (sic), who came up as a pinch hitter.” The text and Morehead’s signature are 10s. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Minimum Bid $25.

Lot 425.  8” x 10” Color Photo Signed by Eddie Murray. The photo is on a 10 ½” x 13” wood plaque that is ex-m and has some scratches on the Plexiglas. The photo is nm-m with a strong sharpie 10 signature. Authen-ticated by Kevin Keating.
Minimum Bid $35.

The sharpie signature is 10 of 10. Reese, who played a key role in getting his Brooklyn teammates to accept Jackie Robinson, died in 1999. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Winning Bid $40.

Lot 428.  1984 Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Yearbook Signed Twice by Pee Wee Reese. Ex-m+ program signed by Reese on his image on the cover and on his photo inside. Both signatures are 10s. Reese died in 1999. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Winning Bid $30.

Lot 429.  Phil Rizzuto Signed Color 8” x 10” Photo on a 10 ½” x 13” Wood Plaque. A brass plate on the plaque says “‘Scooter’ Phil Rizzuto.” There are scratches on the Plexiglas over the photo. The photo itself is nm-m with a sharpie 10 autograph. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Winning Bid $35.

Lot 430.  Autograph of Perfect-Game Pitcher Charlie Robertson. In only his second or third major league start (sources disagree), Charles Culbertson Robertson hurled a perfect game for the Chicago White Sox. In the game on April 30, 1922 at Navin Field in Detroit, Robertson shut out Ty Cobb, Harry Heilmann and the rest of the Tigers’ lineup on 90 pitches. Left fielder Johnny Mostil preserved the win with a diving catch. Robertson’s perfect game was the fifth in major league baseball and the third in the American League. It was the first perfect game on the road. After the game, sore loser Ty Cobb howled that Robertson had doctored the balls he pitched. In response, the Tigers sent several game balls to Ban Johnson, A.L. president, who could find no evidence of tampering. This game was the highlight of Robertson’s career, who lasted through eight big league seasons, winning 49 and losing 80. He died in 1984. Robertson’s ballpoint signature, “C. C. Robertson,” is on a 1” x 3” cut from a check. It rates a 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. This signature for your perfect-game autograph collection could be yours for our MB $25.
Winning Bid $168.

Lot 431.  Frank Robinson Autograph on a Print Celebrating His A.L, N.L. MVP Awards. Robinson won the award in the National League in 1961, and in the American League in 1966. His large sharpie autograph is a 10 on a limited edition print, #202 of 586, signed by the artist, Dick Leyden. The print, which shows some waviness, is framed without glass. Below his signature, Robinson added “586 HR’s.” Robinson may be baseball’s least-appreciated superstar. He is number six on the all-time home run list. He hit more home runs than Mark McGwire; Bonds and Sosa passed him in recent years. He is 16th among RBI leaders. Bonds and Palmeiro passed him; McGwire and Sosa couldn’t catch him. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Winning Bid $25.

Lot 432.  8” x 10” Color Photo Signed by Brooks Robinson. The photo is mounted on nm 9” x 12” wood plaque. The ballpoint signature is a large 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Winning Bid $20.

Lot 433.  Enos Slaughter Autographed Photo on a 13” x 10 ½” Wood Plaque. Slaughter’s signature is a sharpie 10 on the nm plaque. Authen-ticated by Kevin Keating.
Minimum Bid $20.

Lot 434.  Willie Stargell Autograph on an 8” x 10” Color Photo. A younger Stargell is pictured in this photo, which is mounted on a 9” x 12” wood plaque. Nm plaque except for a scratch on the Plexiglas. The signature is a sharpie 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Winning Bid $30.

Lot 435.  8” x 10” B&W Photo Signed by Carl Yastrzemski. Outstanding 10 autograph in purple sharpie on a photo with an unusual background. The black background shows the imperfections of the negative used in printing it - or someones efforts to be artistic. In any case, except for the black on his sleeves, the image of Yaz is sharp and clean, and the autograph is superb. The photo itself is ex-m+. Authen-ticated by Kevin Keating.
Minimum Bid $20.

Lot 436.  Hall of Fame Yellow Plaque Postcards Signed by Appling, Hubbell, Lyons, Sewell. All signed on the front of their HoF cards. The “Luke” Appling signature is strong and lightly smudged. A retrace on the “C” makes the Carl Hubbell, otherwise very strong, a 7. The Ted Lyons autograph is a 7 with a retrace on the “y.” Joe Sewell signed his card twice. The signature at the top is a bold 10. At the bottom, Sewell added a note to “Bill,” and the signature that followed is smudged. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. This is a very presentable group of HoF autographs at a low
Minimum Bid $25.
