Lot 431. Frank Robinson Autograph on a Print Celebrating His A.L, N.L. MVP Awards. Robinson won the award in the National League in 1961, and in the American League in 1966. His large sharpie autograph is a 10 on a limited edition print, #202 of 586, signed by the artist, Dick Leyden. The print, which shows some waviness, is framed without glass. Below his signature, Robinson added “586 HR’s.” Robinson may be baseball’s least-appreciated superstar. He is number six on the all-time home run list. He hit more home runs than Mark McGwire; Bonds and Sosa passed him in recent years. He is 16th among RBI leaders. Bonds and Palmeiro passed him; McGwire and Sosa couldn’t catch him.
