Lot 19.  40 1952 Topps Baseball Cards Including Hodges and Roberts. These cards from the first two series exhibit small amounts of mold or varying amounts of water damage. The Hodges card, #36, is p, and 59 Roberts, p. The other cards average p. Proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Society for American Baseball Research.

Lot 20.  Cards of Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio. The Williams card is 1952 Red Man #23A without the tab, f-g. Ruth and Mantle are on 1979 Dexter Press Hall of Fame Plaque Postcards. Both are nm+. The DiMaggio card is a reprint of a 1939-46 Salutation Exhibit, nm.

Lot 21.  8 1953 Brown & Bigelow Cards Featuring Bill Medcalf Artwork of Lou Gehrig. The Medcalf artwork of a boy playing first base with Gehrig behind him occupies one side of each card. On the opposite side of these playing cards are a joker; king and queen of hearts; queen, 10 and 5 of clubs, and king and queen of spades. Part of a complete deck, the cards promote an Esso Servicenter in Midland, PA. Ex-m to nm overall.

Lot 22.  80+ 1953 Topps Baseball Cards Including Ford, Jackie Robinson. Condition-challenged group, most with some mold or minor water damage. Key cards are: #1 Jackie Robinson, no mold or damage, but trimmed by 3/8” top-to-bottom; otherwise f-g; #66 Minoso p-f and 207 Ford p-f with a light water stain along the right edge. The other cards, all from the first or second series, average p to p-f. There are a few duplicates. Proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Society for American Baseball Research, a non-profit membership organization open to all that fosters the research, preservation, and dissemination of the history and record of baseball.

Lot 27.  85+ 1955 Topps Baseball Including Killebrew and Boyer Rookies, Mathews, Etc. Almost all of these cards are bowed and show mold, water damage or both. Lot 28.  75 1956 Topps Baseball Including Jackie Robinson and Wynn. All of these cards are unevenly bowed or show light evidence of mold. Seventeen have writing on the front. Key cards are #2 Giles p, 30 Robinson (2, both with writing on the front) p, 63 Craig rookie f, 187 Wynn p and 332 Larsen f. The other cards, excluding 15 with writing on them, average p-f. Proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Society for American Baseball Research.

Lot 29.  79 1957 Topps Cards – Some Good-Looking, Almost all with Condition Deficiencies. With few exceptions, these cards have pin holes or some problem on the back. The highest grade, vg+ to ex, goes to #14. Some other cards without pin holes include #38 Fox p (and we mean it), 56 p, 74 g and 134 f. In all other cases, grades indicate the appearance of the card without the problem identified. Fifty-one cards have pin holes; a few also have glue residue or back damage. The cards with pin holes include #12 Drysdale rookie (nice-looking) vg, 30 Reese ex, 50 Score f, 55 Banks (heavy back damage) vg+ front, 70 Ashburn vg, 90 Spahn vg, 120 Lemon f, 138 Minoso vg-ex and 215 Slaughter vg. Eight cards have glue residue on the back, with all type readable. Among them are #130 Newcombe vg and four team cards, which otherwise have an ex appearance. Eight cards have tape on the back. Four are trimmed, including #210 Campanella, two have writing on them, including #324, the Dodgers team card, and one has back damage. Most of these cards have a very decent appearance. Proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Society for American Baseball Research, a non-profit membership organization open to all that fosters the research, preservation, and dissemination of the history and record of baseball.
