Lot 328.  Mike Schmidt Cards, Signed Photo, Memorabilia. A signed 8” x 10” color photo by the Phillies’ Hall of Fame third baseman heads this diverse list of collectibles. The signature in blue sharpie is 10 of 10. Six other photos, including one framed to 14” x 18”, are unsigned. The collection features 140 cards spanning 1974-89: 1974 #283 vg, 1975 #70 vg-ex, 1976 #480 vg-ex, 1977 #140 vg-ex, 1978 #360 ex, and 1979 #610 ex. The 1980s cards are generally nm or better. There is also a 1987 letter from Schmidt marking his 500th home run (facsimile autograph), a plaque with miniature versions of Schmidt’s cards 1973-83, a couple of publications, a 19” x 25” “Feelin’ 7UP” poster (tack holes) and a display marking “Mike Schmidt Night.” Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 329.  Philadelphia Phillies 1950 Whiz Kids Collection. 1. 8” x 10” color photo autographed by Granny Hamner, Del Ennis and Rich Ashburn. Signatures are 8 of 10. The photo is mounted on a “Whiz Kids 1950” plaque. All three players are deceased. 2. Sept. 17, 1950 Philadelphia Inquirer complete magazine with eight “Fightin’ Phillies” cards intact inside. Ennis and Simmons are among the players. Supplement was folded horizontally. Vg+ to ex; newsprint cards would generally be nm if cut apart. 3. Oct. 4, 1950 Inquirer “World Series Guide,” illustrated 16-page supplement, edge chips, vg. 4. 14 ½” x 18 ½” black & white team photo. Vg-ex with players’ names taped to front. 5. 1980 TCMA “1950 Whiz Kids” set of 31. Nm+. 6. Full-sized 1960s Phillies red and white pennant, several tack holes, vg. Lot 409.  Hank Aaron Signed 8” x 10” Photo on a 10 ½” x 13” Wood Plaque. A brass plate says “Hank Aaron, ‘All Time Home Run Leader’.” And he achieved this status legitimately. Nm plaque. Bold sharpie 10 autograph. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 410.  April 30, 1979 Sports Illustrated Signed by George Bamberger as the Milwaukee Brewers’ manager. As a player, Bamberger pitched in 10 games over three seasons in the 1950s for the Giants and Orioles. Besides Milwaukee, he managed the Mets. He died in 2004. Ex-m magazine, 10 of 10 blue sharpie signature. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 411.  Johnny Bench Autograph on an 11” x 14” Mike Petronella Limited Edition Print. Both Bench and Petronella signed the print, #413 of 1,000, which is mounted on a 13” x 20” plaque with a plate that says “Johnny Bench, M.V.P. 1970 & 1972, Hall of Fame 1989.” Nm plaque with signatures that are bold sharpie 10s. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 412.  Photos Signed by 3 Members of Cincinnati’s “Big Red Machine.” From 1972-76, the Reds were known as The Big Red Machine as they dominated the National League. In those five years, with a record of 502-300, they captured four N.L. pennants and two World Championships. Offered here are three 8” x 10” color photos signed by power hitters from the team – Johnny Bench, George Foster and Joe Morgan. The photos are framed and nm with signatures that rate 10s. Foster added “MVP 1977” below his autograph. With these signed photos are an unsigned photo of Bench, Morgan, Pete Rose and Tony Perez. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 413.  1934 Goudey Card #36 Autographed by (Walter) Huck Betts. Good card with a ballpoint signature that grades 10. Betts pitched for the Phillies and Braves, winning 17 games for Boston in 1934. He died in 1987. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 415.  8” x 10” Autographed Color Photo of Pittsburgh Pirate Dock Ellis. Matted, Framed to 12” x 15”. One of Pittsburgh’s more flamboyant and controversial players, Ellis added the notation, “No Hitter, 6-12-70.” He held the San Diego Padres hitless that day, allegedly while pitching on LSD. The signature is a 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 416.  1992 Hall of Fame Induction Z Cachets Signed by Rollie Fingers, Hal Newhouser. Produced by Historic Limited Editions, these two “Z Silk Cachets” were postmarked Aug. 2, 1992 at Cooperstown. Each features a portrait and an action rendering of the inductee. Both autographs are 10s. The envelopes are framed and held in place with a small piece of masking tape on the back. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 417.  8” x 10” B&W Photo Autographed by Billy Herman. The photo is on a 12” x 15” plaque with a plate containing his name and adding “Hall of Fame – 1975.” Herman is shown as a Brooklyn Dodger. His signature is a large 9-10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 418.  Signed Photo Composite Showing Reggie Jackson After His 500th Home Run. The 8” x 10” color photo composite consists of four scenes after Jackson entered the 500 home run club. Playing for the California Angels, Jackson homered off Kansas City’s Bud Black on Sept. 17, 1984 at Anaheim Stadium. The photo is mounted on a 12” x 15” wood plaque with a plate that says “Reggie Jackson, 500th Home Run, Mr. October.” Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
