Lot 702.  1955-60 Bill and Bob Braves Postcard Autographed by Joe Adcock. Vg card shows Adcock kneeling with a bat. The ballpoint signature on the back, personalized “To Mike, Best Wishes,” is large and 10 of 10. Adcock, who died in 1999. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 703.  1978 Grand Slam Card Signed by HoF Outfielder James “Cool Papa” Bell. Ex-m card with a sharpie 10 signature accompanied by a copy of the 8” x 10” b&w photo used for the card. An excellent leadoff hitter with incredible speed and superb in the outfield, Bell was one of the greatest Negro League players. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1974. He died in 1991. Lot 706.  8” x 10” Color Photo Autographed by New York Mets Slugger Carlos Delgado as the first baseman for the Toronto Blue Jays. At age 33 at the end of the 2005 season, Delgado had belted 369 home runs, driven in 1173 and was a .284 lifetime hitter. Over the past eight seasons, he has averaged 38 home runs and 119 RBIs. He got off to an excellent start this season. Vg+ to ex photo. Black sharpie 10 signature. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 709.  Texas League Official Baseball, Minor League Card Autographed by Jeff Francis, who began the 2006 season in the starting rotation of the Colorado Rockies. His signature on the sweet spot of the ball is an 8. The signature on the 2004 Tulsa Drillers card is a 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 711.  Rawlings Baseball Signed on the Sweet Spot by Tony Gwynn. Below his name, he added “394-94,” a reminder that he hit .394 in 1994. Ball appears to have been hit a few times and is ex+. There is a slight smudge on the ball on the first “y.” Otherwise, a nice 10 ballpoint signature. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 715.  Early Autograph of Randy Johnson on a 1989 Donruss Rated Rookie Card. Over time, Johnson’s autograph has changed, becoming more compressed and less decipherable. This early version is more readable, and desirable. Card is vg+ to ex because of a small crease. The sharpie signature is a10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 716.  Hawaiian Christmas Card from the Philadelphia Athletics’ Eddie Joost. The card with a hula-skirted fat Santa Claus wishes the recipient “Mele Kalikimaka” - Merry Christmas. Joost mailed the card from Honolulu in 1975. Inside the card, his wife signed a note “Eddie,” and then signed the card “Alice and Eddie Joost.” Signatures are 10s - in seasonal red, or course. Unable to get along with Bill McKechnie in Cincinnati and the Braves’ brain trust in Boston, Joost found a home in Philadelphia with the Athletics. He got along well with Connie Mack, who, according to Joost, treated his players like men. “It’s a privilege to hustle for him,” Joost said. An excellent shortstop who excelled at getting walks, Joost became a favorite of the Athletics’ fans. Unusual item. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
