Lot 111.  Color 8” x 10” Photo Signed by Sadaharu Oh, International Home Run King. Playing in Japan, Oh set the all-time pro baseball home run record at 868. Early this year, he managed the Japan team, winning the inaugural World Baseball Classic championship with a victory over Cuba. Originally a pitcher, Oh switched to first base and spent his career with the Yomiuri Giants. Spectacular 8” x 10” color action photo captures Oh’s famous leg-in-the-air batting style, similar to Mel Ott’s. The photo is boldly signed in Japanese. Oh lives in Japan and remains an elusive autograph. Here is a great example! Auth- enticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 113.  Hand-Painted Limited-Edition Animation Cel Autographed by Cal Ripken, Jr. Produced by Toon Art in 1996, this cel features a caricature portrait and two action shots of Ripken. Sam Viviano, a New York illustrator who specializes in humorous caricatures, created the artwork. About 12” x 17” and matted and framed to 19 ½” x 24”, the cel is #195 of 250. Viviano and Ripken signed the cel. Ripken’s signature in black sharpie is a large, bold 10. The cel comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Toon Art and a photo of Ripken signing the cels. Lot 114.  1984 Official Hall of Fame Induction Group Photo Signed by 13. Those who signed are Lefty Gomez, Al Kaline, George Kell, Monte Irvin, Luis Aparicio, Buck Leonard, Bill Terry, Billy Herman, AB Chandler, Judy Johnson, Jocko Conlan, Joe Sewell and Johnny Mize. Six members in the photo are living and could still be added. These are uncommon, and here is a nice example with strong signatures! Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 115.  Game-Used ONL Feeney Baseball with Walt Alston on the Sweet Spot. Alston, a Hall of Fame manager, led the Dodgers to seven pennants and four world championships. His sharpie signature is a 10. Side panels of the ball are autographed by Maury Wills and Wes Parker of the Dodgers and Tito Fuentes, Don Carrithers and Juan Marichal of the Giants. The Dodgers’ signatures are 10s, and the Giants’, 9 to 9-10. Ex-m ball. Alston died in 1984. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 116.  Poster Signed by Six Players of the All American Girls Baseball League. Colorful reproduction poster is 13” x 21” and carries the autographs of Dolly Niemiec of the Grand Rapids Chicks, Marge Wenzell of the South Bend Blue Sox, Nickie Fox and Dottie Kamenshek of the Rockford Peaches, Lefty Hohlmayer of the Kenosha Comets and Pepper “Paire” Davis of the Racine Belles. Each player signed her name and added her team, years played and an ’88 Hall of Fame notation. The poster is vg and personalized to Nicole from “The Legendary Ladies of Baseball.” The autographs of Niemiec, Wenzell and Davis are 10 of 10, while the others are 9s. Lot 117.  10 Signed Perez-Steel Postcards - Conlan, Herman, Mize, Musial, Sewell, Etc. Lou Boudreau and Stan Musial signed their 4th Series cards in sharpie, and their signatures are strong 10s. Jocko Conlan and Billy Herman’s ballpoint signatures on their 5th Series cards are 9 of 10. Monte Irvin’s signature is a sharpie 10. The signatures of Johnny Mize, Joe Sewell, Robin Roberts, Bob Lemon and Al Lopez are sharpie 10s on 6th Series cards. All but Musial and Roberts are deceased. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 252.  Sept. 11, 1964 Issue of Time Signed by Baltimore Orioles Manager Hank Bauer. Unusual, colorful cover art on this ex issue signed by Bauer in sharpie. The signature is a 10. A Marine, Bauer led the Orioles to the World Championship in 1966. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
