Murcer’s ballpoint autograph is a 10 and Blomberg’s, a 9 on this ex cover that has some residue where the label was removed. Blomberg became the American League’s first designated hitter in 1973. Lot 293. April 30, 1979 Sports Illustrated Signed by George Bamberger as the Milwaukee Brewers’ manager. As a player, Bamberger pitched in 10 games over three seasons in the 1950s for the Giants and Orioles. Besides Milwaukee, he managed the Mets. He died in 2004.
