Lot 235. Brooklyn or LA Dodgers Newsletters, Postcards and a Dodgers Poster. "Bring the Dodgers Home to Brooklyn” is the message of the 12” x 18” poster, which was produced sometime during the 1977-2001 career of Howard Golden as Brooklyn’s Borough President. The poster is g with three horizontal folds, a 2” tear at the top right and various scuffs and creases. It was sponsored by Golden and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Nine postcards represent the Dodgers of Los Angeles: John Roseboro, 1963 from Plastichrome ex-m, and Claude Osteen , apparently 1965 or 1966 from Mitock & Sons ex. Two different postcards show the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and three different, Dodger Stadium in LA. One is ex, and 4 are vg-ex . In addition, two different oversized postcards, each 5.5” x 8.75”, provide images of Dodger Stadium on opening day on April 10, 1962;, one is vg, and the other f. There are two “Dodgers Line Drives” newsletters, one for Jan. 1952, ex, and another for April 1956, g-vg; both were folded twice horizontally. Each comprises four pages. The 1952 issue contains the team’s home schedule and roster. Players’ facsimile autographs decorate the back page of the 1956 edition. There also is a four-page flyer promoting ticket sales for 1953; the schedule is on the back page. Folded, ex. Winning Bid $20.
