Lot 310. 5 University of Pittsburgh Programs for Home Games. Two programs are for Pitt’s Oct. 27, 1979 game with Navy. Pitt won, 24-7 on its way to an 11-1 season and seventh place in the AP poll. Four future Hall of Fame members are in the programs – Rickey Jackson in the Pro HoF, Hugh Green and Mark May in the College HoF, and Dan Marino in both. One program is ex-m+, and the other, ex with two small stains on the front cover. The Nov. 3, 1979 program for Pitt’s game with Syracuse is vg+ to ex. It has some soiling on the white areas of the front cover , scores added to a schedule inside, and names added to the rosters. Future Steelers placekicker Gary Anderson, linebacker Craig Bingham and lineman Craig Wolfley are among the Orangemen, and so is future College and Pro HoF wide receiver Art Monk. Pitt won, 28-21. On Oct. 30, 1982, the Panthers overwhelmed Louisville, 63-14. The program for the game is vg-ex and includes Marino, as well as three other HoF Panthers, Chris Doleman (Pro), Bill Fralic (College) and Jimbo Covert (both). The Panthers defeated rival Penn State, 10-0, on Nov. 14, 1987. The ex-m game program has quarterback Sal Genilla on the cover. Craig (Ironhead) Heyward is one of his teammates pictured inside. Accompanying the programs is a Pitt beer can from Iron City. It lists the university’s nine football national championships from 1915-76. The can is used and vg-ex. Winning Bid $15.
