Bo Jackson Large, Bold Gem Mint 10 Autograph on an Nm-M Wilson “The Duke” NFL Football.

Lot 246. Bo Jackson Large, Bold Gem Mint 10 Autograph on an Nm-M Wilson “The Duke” NFL Football. The signature of the 1985 Heisman Trophy winner extends for 7” and is as tall as 4” on a panel of the Roger Goodell NFL football. On panels away from the autograph, which is superb, the ball shows very light, minor uneven toning marks. Jackson starred at running back for Auburn. After college, he planned to concentrate on baseball, but wound up playing both sports. In 1991, at running back for the LA Raiders, he sustained a hip injury that ended his football career and limited his time on the diamond as an outfielder and designated hitter. Accomplishments: College Football Hall of Fame, 1990 Pro Bowl, 1985 Walter Camp Award and “Sporting News” Player of the Year, 1983 and 1985 Consensus All-American. In baseball, 1989 AL All-Star and All-Star Game MVP, 1993 AL Comeback Player of the Year, 10th in 1989 AL MVP voting with 32 home runs, 105 RBI and 26 stolen bases. ESPN placed him 72nd on its list of leading 20th century North American athletes. He was among 23 baseball players and 20 football players on the list. One pro athlete named an All-Star in two major North American sports. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified. Winning Bid $75.
