Lot 269. Autographs of 16 NFL Players – 4 HoFers – and 2 Coaches. Autographs are mint 9 or gem mint 10, unless otherwise noted, on various types of photos. The Hall of Fame players are: Bob Lilly on an 8” x 10” color photo, and he added “Cowboys HOF ’80”; Lilly was 10th on “The Sporting News” 1999 list of Football’s 100 Greatest Players. George Musso (died 2000) on an 8” x 10” b&w action photo; he was a star lineman for the Chicago Bears 1933-44. Andre Reed, nm-m 8 to mint 9 on a 3.25” x 5” color photo; a seven-time Pro Bowl selection at wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, he is 15th on the NFL list for career touchdown receptions. Jan Stenerud, 8” x 10” b&w photo, signature personalized to Wendi; he was the first placekicker-only inducted into the HoF. Six autographs are nm-m 8 or better on 2.5” x 3.5” color photos of the players’ 1980 Topps cards. Among them is Joe Washington, a member of the College HoF. The others are Billy Brooks, Joe Fields, Steve Schubert, Jeff Van Note and David Whitehurst. Jim McMahon, another College HoF members, signed a 3.75” x 6” color photo, and Steve DeBerg, a 3.5” x 5” color photo. Three autographs are on 8” x 10” b&w photos: Russ Francis; David Humm (died 2018), signature personalized to Frank & Theresa; and Dave Kocourek (died 2013), signature personalized to Wendi; a tight end for the Chargers and Raiders, he is the only player to appear in seven AFL Championship Games. Jack Kemp (died 2009), the Buffalo Bills quarterback, placed his signature, personalized to Pam, on an 8” x 10” color photo that has him in his U.S. House of Representative uniform. The two coaches autographed 8” x 10” color photos - Matt Nagy, who played in the Arena Football League for six seasons, served as Bears head coach 2018-21, and was the Pro Football Writers of America and AP 2018 NFL Coach of the Year. And Freddie Kitchens, Browns head coach 2019, and assistant coach for several NFL teams; his personalized signature is across his face. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified. Minimum Bid $50.
