Football Team Collectibles – Autographs, Memorabilia, Etc.

  1 Lot

Lot 389.  Pittsburgh Steelers of the 1970s – Autograph and Memorabilia Collection. With Super Bowl championships in 1974, 1975, 1978 and 1979, the Steelers were the team of the decade. Most of these collectibles commemorate the Steelers’ success. 1. Steelers Super Bowl 22 ¼” x 16 ¼” team poster matted to 26 ½’ x 20 ½”. Many Pittsburgh all-time Steelers greats are pictured - Bleier, Bradshaw, Greene, Harris, Lambert, Swann and Webster. The poster has several scratches, and a moderate amount of bubbling resulted when it was mounted on hardboard. The effect of these conditions is not great and would be diminished by framing the poster. 2. Autographed 1990 Pro Set #275 Chuck Noll card authenticated by SGC. Noll (died 2014) has signed this card in blue sharpie; his autograph is nm-m 8. 3. Two b&w 8” x 10” autographed photos, one by Jack Lambert and the other, by Lynn Swann. Lambert’s signature in silver sharpie mint 9, and Swann’s, in black sharpie, is nm 7 to nm-m 8. 4. Pittsburgh Steelers gym bag. This vinyl bag displays two b&w photos each of John Banaszak, Theo Bell and Jack Lambert. Labeled “Pittsburgh” on each of its two sides, the black, white and tan bag has a like-new appearance. 5. Attractive black & gold RC Cola 16 oz. bottle commemorating the Steelers’ 16-6 victory over Minnesota in Super Bowl IX at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans on Jan. 12, 1975. The front of the bottle celebrates the “World Champions – Pittsburgh Steelers,” while the back presents highlights of the “Pittsburgh Steelers 1974 N.F.L. Record,” among them “Gave up least number of yards total 3,074” and “Performed most take aways 47.” The bottle is like new. 6. Pittsburgh Steelers’ commemorative full-sized football by Fotoball, from a “Limited Edition of 20,000/Series II.” Still in its original packaging, the ball displays the Steelers’ logo on a colorful panel that depicts a running back. Another panel recognizes the Steelers’ first four Super Bowl championships and that “The Steelers won their fifth AFC title in 1995 and met Dallas once again in Super Bowl XXX.” This ball is like new
