12 Pittsburgh Steelers Autographs on the Cover of a 1963 Washington Redskins Program.

Lot 284. 12 Pittsburgh Steelers Autographs on the Cover of a 1963 Washington Redskins Program. And one member of the Washington team as well. The Steelers that signed the front cover of the Nov. 17 program are Ernie Stautner, Gary Ballman, Jim Bradshaw, Roy Curry, Buddy Dial, Glenn Glass, Mike Nixon, Terry Nofsinger, Buzz Nutter, Jim Sandusky and Ron Stehouwer. Bob Schmitz autographed the back cover, and so did Tim Temerario, a member of the Redskins’ coaching staff and the team’s director of player personnel from 1965-78. The autographs are nm-m 8. A defensive tackle, Stautner was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1969. An All-American receiver at Rice, Dial was elected to the College Hall of Fame in 1993. Except for Curry, Glass and Sandusky, all of these players have passed away. The 68-page program, ex+ with the center folio loose, is extensively illustrated with photos of a Redskins-Cardinals game and also has photos of Steelers Dial and Myron Pottios. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified. Winning Bid $92.
