Karras (Pro Hall of Fame 2020, College HoF 1991) autographed the cover of the Oct. 12, 1970 issue of “Sports Illustrated”; mint 9 signature, label removed from the magazine. Karras was an outstanding defensive lineman for Iowa and the Detroit Lions. He died in 2012. The College HoF inductees are: Steve Bartkowski, HoF 2012, quarterback, California; pro with Falcons, Rams; mint 9 autograph, color photo, 8” x 9.5”. John Brodie, 1986, quarterback, Stanford; pro with 49ers; nm-m 8 to mint 9 autograph, 7.5” x 10” b&w lithograph. Charlie ChooChoo Justice, 1961, halfback, North Carolina; pro with Redskins; gem mint 10 autograph, 8.25” x 10.5” color magazine photo; died 2003. Hugh Gallarneau, 1982, halfback, Stanford; pro with the Bears; ex 5 to ex-m 6 personalized autograph, 7.5” x 10” b&w photo; died 1999. Jim Plunkett, 1990, quarterback, Stanford; pro with Patriots, 49ers, Raiders; mint 9 autograph on a 6” x 9.5” magazine photo. The four other autographs are by: Shaun Alexander, running back, Alabama; pro with Seahawks and Redskins; mint 9 to gem mint 10 autograph on an 8” x 10” lithographed photo. George Nock, running back, Morgan State; pro with Jets, Redskins; gem mint 10 autograph on a 9.25” x 11.25” illustration; died 2020. Johnny Panelli, fullback and linebacker, Notre Dame; pro with the Lions, Chicago Cardinals; mint 9 to gem mint 10 personalized signature on an 8” x 10.5” b&w photo; died 2012. And Adam Timmerman, guard, South Dakota State; pro with the Packers and Rams; mint 9 autograph on a color 8” x 10” photo with “God Bless!” and “Rom 8:31” added.
