Action Figure, Bobble and Doll Assortment – Baseball, Tennis, NASCAR, the Olympics, Boxing, Wrestling and Acting.

Lot 639. Action Figure, Bobble and Doll Assortment – Baseball, Tennis, NASCAR, the Olympics, Boxing, Wrestling and Acting. Baseball has two entries in this collection – a large statue of a Hall of Fame baseball player – and a fox masquerading as Stan Musial. In 1993-94, Steven Manufacturing of Missouri produced the 8” Hartland Collection of Carl Yastrzemski. The figure is mint in the nm original box, which is missing cellophane on the front. The certificate is missing. In 1983, Regal China created the baseball slugger fox, which wears a Stan Musial St. Louis Cardinals uniform and is ready to swing a gold bat. The 8” figure was distributed at the 13th Annual Convention of the International Association of Jim Beam Bottle and Specialties Club (IAJBBSC) in St. Louis. Jim Thorpe and Nadia Comaneci represent the Olympics with 4.5” to 5” figures and equipment from Staring Lineup’s 1996 “Timeless Legends” series. The figures are mint in packages without price stickers. The back of Thorpe’s packages shows some paper loss from tape used to attach a Kodak “1912 Stockholm” Jim Thorpe pin. The package also has one relatively long crease. The Comaneci package has several smaller creases. Thorpe won two gold medals, including in the pentathlon, at the 1912 Olympics. Comaneci was a five-time Olympic gold medalist. If there is such a thing as an inaction figure, then it may be the tennis player from RockHeads. This 1988 figure, made of hand-painted rocks, is 5.5” tall, including the base. The figure is nm with a stray spot on her nose, apparently from a speeding tennis ball she could not get away from. It appears to be scarce. The tallest collectible in this assortment is a 1998 “Collector Edition” Barbie doll dressed in HotWheels racing garb to mark the 50th Anniversary of NASCAR. Barbie stands 12” tall. The figure is mint in an ex-m box with a price sticker. Two Funko “Wacky Wobblers” are the final items. Both have an acting connection, and one is linked to boxing as well. That would be Sylvester Stallone as “Rocky,” a 7.25” bobbing head mint in a box that has a small corner crease and a price sticker. The other Funko figure, Mr. T, is an actor and former professional wrestler. Mint figure in an ex box with a price sticker. There are eight items in this assortment. Minimum Bid $50.
