A golf program and a ticket are connected to major achievements in TIGER WOODS’ career. In 1999, he won the first of four PGA championships, and in 2000, the first of three Open Championships (British Open). A ticket for the 81st PGA Championship, 1999 at Medinah Country Club in Illinois, is ex to ex-m. And a program for the 2000 Open Championship at St. Andrews is nm+ with a drawsheet for July 23. A golf tie-tack also is present. One book, two magazines and a calendar cover many sports: “1930-1959 Williams and DiMaggio – The Stuff of Dreams,” 1999 from ESPN Sports, ex-m hardcover published without a dust jacket, stories on Williams, DiMaggio, Joe Louis, Didrikson, Unitas, Owens and many more. “Sportfolio,” Sept. 1947, Johnny Mize cover, vg+ to ex. “Sports Heritage,” Jan.-Feb. 1987, charter issue, articles on baseball, football, skating and tennis, ex-m. There are two programs, one for the 1976 U.S. Olympic Basketball Team vs. the U.S. All-Stars, ex-m, and one for the 1987 “NCAA Basketball Championship” tournament in New Orleans, ex-m+. A key chain with a “Ringside” boxing glove, ex-m. And a bubble gum machine boxing glove charm with “Fred Apostoli,” HoF middleweight, ex-m. FOOTBALL: B&w 5” x 7” photo (facsimile signature) of Fred Dryer, Los Angeles Rams Pro-Bowl defensive end and “Hunter” TV star, nm-m, with a sign-up form for his Fan Club. And a 5.5” NFL Cardinals glass mug, nm-m. HOCKEY: Color poster of Patrick Roy, HoF goalie, 22” x 33.5”, rolled, vg+. 1974-75 schedule for the Fort Wayne Komets, then of the International Hockey League, ex-m. YACHT RACING: “Challenge 1980: A Brief History of The America’s Cup,” four-page pamphlet that lists the winning boat and skipper for 1851 through 1977, nm.
