The 60-page program provides the details: Bill Cosby as host. Rachel Robinson, Robinson’s widow, pictured as the creator of the foundation in his name. Among the award recipients, all pictured with biographical sketches, are Pat Riley, head coach of the New York Knicks; Jack Welch, GE chairman, and Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Olympic Gold Medalist. The program also has a full-page action photo of Jackie Robinson. Nm. Also, a catalog for a silent auction, tickets and a seating chart. The earliest program is from the 1979 Annual Dinner of the New York Baseball Writers. The ex-m+ 56-page program has a Bill Gallo cover. Award recipients, all pictured, include Ron Guidry, Ralph Houk, Bucky Dent, Jim Gilliam (posthumously) and Willie Stargell. A 1988 program from the Manchester Baseball Dinner recognizes Ernie Banks, Bob Feller, Bobby Doerr, Warren Spahn, Harmon Killebrew and Ted Williams. The 24-page vg-ex program is loaded with photos of baseball figures.
