Lot 611. Golf Grab Bag Consisting of 16 Vintage Items. . 1. Medal and ribbon for a 1921 event at the Hollywood Country Club. Ribbon ex, medal nm. 2. 1951 “Byron Nelson’s Winning Golf,” 4 ½” x 8” brochure that opens to 9” x 15 ½”. Nelson gives instructions in the use of “Fairway Woods.” It is the fourth in the “Byron Nelson ‘Winning Golf’ Series.” Light stain at the bottom, otherwise ex-m. 3. 1922 “Life Membership Certificate” for Robert Bates Warren in the Congressional Country Club, mounted on cardboard, 9.5” x 12”, vg, uneven toning. 4. 6 ½” tall “Low Gross Rose and Morris L. Craft Trophy W.C.C. 1960,” appears to be made of brass. 5. 8 ½” Country Club Senior Member-Guest plate, pewter trim, ceramic center with an image of the club. Small chip in the ceramic edge, ex+. 6. 1962 Columbia Country Club, Chevy Chase, Maryland Member-Guest 11” serving tray, shows length of holes and par, vg-ex. 7. Unused “Washington Golf Club” hat, predominately green and white, nm-m. 8-10. 3 ticket stubs for the 1983 Kemper Open Golf Tournament at the Congressional Country Club, Bethesda, MD. Fred Couples won this event. Ex-m. 11-12. 2 copies of the “Maryland Golf Guide,” 1996, both nm+-m. 13. Scored scorecard from Goose Creek Country Club. Jack Lowe was the pro, vg. 14. 5” x 7” printed artwork titled “Try Again, Gramp,” shows an old man, his grandson and a dog as grandpa misses the ball by a mile; very colorful and funny, two pinholes at the top; otherwise ex+. Artwork by Brooklyn artist H. Hintermeister. 15. 1993 Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, Men’s Club, First Annual Spring Sports Outing. Woodmont Country Club, bulk mail postcard, ex-m. 16. “The Conduct of Women’s Golf,” June 1940 booklet from the U.S. Golf Association, 16 pages, g-vg. 17. 1950s era map of the Washington D.C. area with advertising for Banmockburn Golf Club, ex+. 18. “Golf Lessons, The Fundamentals as Taught by Foremost Instructors,” 26-page 1949 booklet, vg-ex.
