Baltimore and Boston 1970s Yearbooks and a 1987 Detroit Ticket Stub.

Lot 583. Baltimore and Boston 1970s Yearbooks and a 1987 Detroit Ticket Stub. The 1974 Orioles’ 20th Anniversary Special Edition yearbook is an excellent reference. In 64 of its 112 pages, the publication provides photos and career summaries of Baltimore players, managers and coaches. Among the current players are Jim Palmer, Brooks Robinson and Boog Powell, with Earl Weaver as the manager. These Orioles finished first in the A.L. East and then lost to Oakland in the A.L. championship series. Vg yearbook, with pages much better than the cover. The 1972 Red Sox yearbook has a cover illustration that includes Carl Yastrzemski. The 1972 Red Sox ended the season second in the A.L. East, one-half game behind Detroit. The 48-page annual is vg+ to ex with photos of Yaz, Luis Aparicio, Carlton Fisk, Reggie Smith and others. The ticket stub is for a May 8, 1987 game between the Athletics and Tigers in Detroit. Oakland won 7-2 as Mark McGwire belted two home runs and added four RBI to his total. Ex-m+. Winning Bid $15.
