Led by Thurman Munson and Billy Martin, the league MVP and Manager of the Year, respectively, the 1976 Yankees finished the season atop the American League. Subsequently, they lost to Cincinnati in the World Series. The team’s 88-page yearbook contains one or two full pages on each player. At the center is a special 16-page section on the revitalization of Yankee Stadium. Vg-ex. The 1972 yearbook, with 76 extensively illustrated pages, is ex. Images of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle share the cover of the 100-page 1973 yearbook with an illustration of Bobby Murcer as a Yankee batter. On one page, DiMaggio, Mantle and other Yankees share “My Greatest Thrill at Yankee Stadium.” A special 32-page section titled “Yankee Stadium Celebrates 50th…” presents news clippings that summarize the stadium’s history.
