Lot 477. Bart Starr Large, Bold Gem Mint 10 Autograph on an Official Tagliabue NFL Football. Starr added his uniform number, “15,” below his signature, which stretches more than seven inches across the blank panel. The University of Alabama quarterback spent a remarkable 16 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. In a nine-season stretch as Vince Lombardi’s field general, from 1959-67, he and his teammates posted an 82-29-4 record, played in six championship games, and won five, including the first two Super Bowls. He was the MVP of Super Bowls I and II, the 1966 NFL MVP, the NFL passing rating leader five times and a Pro Bowl selection four times. Starr was inducted into the Pro Hall of Fame in 1977. He died in 2019. Winning Bid $321.
