Lenny Moore and John Mackey Autographed Baltimore Colts Mini Helmets by Riddell.

Lot 475. Lenny Moore and John Mackey Autographed Baltimore Colts Mini Helmets by Riddell. Each autograph is gem mint 10 on a separate mint helmet. Each star added the year of his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction, “HOF 75” for Moore and “HOF 92” for Mackey, who also included “88,” his uniform number. Both players were honored with a place among “Football’s 100 Greatest Players” selected in 1999 by “The Sporting News.” Moore, a running back, ranked 71st, and Mackey, a tight end, 48th. Herb Adderley listed Moore among the best four players he had ever seen – with Jim Brown, Paul Hornung and Johnny Unitas. Mike Ditka cited Mackey as the tight end he most admired. The NFL 1956 Rookie of the Year, Moore was a seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time first-team All-Pro in 12 seasons with the Colts. He contributed to two NFL Championships. Mackey played for the Colts for nine seasons and then finished his career with San Diego. He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection, a three-time first-team All-Pro and a winner in Super Bowl V. Both players were named to the NFL’s 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. Winning Bid $35.
