Autographs of Bob Lilly and Mel Renfro, Each on a Dallas Cowboys Mini Helmet by Riddell.

Lot 474. Autographs of Bob Lilly and Mel Renfro, Each on a Dallas Cowboys Mini Helmet by Riddell. Each decorated a separate mini helmet with a gem mint 10 signature and added the year he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Known as “Mr. Cowboy,” Lilly was chosen for the Pro Bowl 11 times in 14 seasons as a defensive lineman for Dallas. He was also a seven-time first-team All-Pro, played on the Cowboys’ Super Bowl VI Championship team and was selected for the NFL’s 75th and 100th Anniversary Teams. In 1999, “The Sporting News” ranked him 10th best on its list of Football’s 100 Greatest Players. Lilly was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980. Renfro was part of the HoF Class of 1996. Like Lilly, he played his entire NFL career – 14 seasons – with Dallas. His achievements at cornerback include 10 Pro Bowls, seven seasons as an All-Pro, and Championships in Super Bowls VI and XII. He was the NFL’s interception leader in 1969. Forty-four years after his retirement, he remains the Cowboys’ all-time interception leader with 52. A star at the University of Oregon, he is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. Winning Bid $40.
