Cohan’s “Take Your Girl to the Ball Game.” Cohen was an entertainer, playwright, composer, actor, singer and dancer who began his career as a child performing with his parents in a vaudeville act. His songs include “Give My Regards to Broadway” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag.” He wrote this song with William Jerome and Jean Schwartz. The illustration on the sheet music cover shows a man and woman watching a baseball game with action at home plate. The cover, which is separated from the two following pages, has edge chips and tears, and there are edge tears on the two other pages. The song was promoted as a novelty summer waltz and a “Home Run Hit.” Winning Bid $50.
