Lot 433. President Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt Memorabilia. One of the unusual and especially uncommon items in the collection of photos, publications and other paper items is a 1942 comic titled “The Life of Franklin D. Roosevelt” and produced by the U.S. Government. The 20-page comic is ex with a stamp from a high school showing lightly on the front cover. The story of his life is presented in greater detail in the “Roosevelt Album,” a 92-page pulp-magazine format publication, by A. J. Ezickson. G-vg. Another key publication is the official program for Roosevelt’s 1941 inauguration. It is nm in the original, unused ex mailing envelope. There also are three numbered vehicle passes for his 1937 inauguration, vg to vg-ex. The President is shown in two 8” x 10” photos, and Mrs. Roosevelt, in one. A vintage U.S. Army Signal Corps photo captures the President in a thoughtful pose at his desk; g. He is also shown signing a document in a reproduction photo. Eleanor Roosevelt is in an original 1940 AP wire photo with actress Mary Pickford as she appeals for help in the campaign against polio. G+ with editing marks. Other items in this collection are: 1.
