Lot 299. 1958 Baseball All-Star Game Program. Major League Baseball celebrated the 25th anniversary of the All-Star Game at Baltimore’s Memorial Stadium on July 8. The American League won, 4-3, as Gil McDougald singled home the winning run in the sixth inning. All 13 hits in the game were singles. The 36-page program contains the line score for each previous All-Star Game, as well as the play-by-play for the inaugural game in 1933. An article describes the Babe Ruth home run that won the game.
