Lot 295. 4 1950s Baltimore Orioles IL Programs, a Benefit Game Brochure and a 45 RPM Record. In 1950, the Orioles earned their second Governor’s Cup by finishing the season as International League champions. From 1919-50, they were the league’s best nine times. Two programs commemorate the 1950 season. A 16-page program is for a game with Springfield; vg with names added to the printed lineups. Smoky Burgess is listed as the Cubs’ catcher. A second program is for a charity game with Montreal. Consisting of 18 pages, it is scored and ex. The other programs are from 1952 vs. Toronto, g-vg, and 1953 vs. Buffalo, partially scored, vg+. The 1952 program has a tribute, including a photo, to Babe Ruth. A four-page 1953 brochure provides information on a benefit game between the Orioles and Syracuse; it does not contain a scorecard. Vg+ to ex. The 45 rpm record marks the Orioles’ 1966 and first American League and MLB championship. Titled “Baltimore Orioles Champs All the Way,” it is ex-m and on the Newheart label. The Pennant version is on one side, and the World Series version on the other. Steve Martin is listed as the writer. Six collectibles.
