Lot 490. 4 Early 1930s “Everlast Boxing Records.” Edited by John J. Romano and featuring cartoons by Will Gould, these annuals are loaded with fight results, photos, and biographical and other information. Various articles provide an overview of the preceding year, and state reports are presented. Each softcover publication contains more than 300 pages. The issues are from 1930, covers detached, f-g; 1931, two copies, one p with the front cover missing and the back detached, and the other, g-vg; and 1932, spine taped, g-vg. Also included is a 1983 report of the Congressional Advisory Commission on Boxing. A letter signed by Mrs. Sugar is included; it verifies that these items are from Bert Sugar’s collection.
