Lot 746. Baseballs Single-Signed by 7 Sports Stars – Savage, Carl Lewis, Borg, Capriati, Etc. These autographs are nm-m 8 and better on nm-m or better baseballs. All signed the sweet spot, or the west panel and extended the autograph to the sweet spot. Five autographed Rawlings “Official League” baseballs: Macho Man Randy Savage, the wrestling great who died in 2011; Janet Evans, Olympics gold medalist in swimming in 1988 and 1992; Bjorn Borg, who won 11 Grand Slam tennis singles events; Jennifer Capriati, who won three women’s singles Grand Slam tournaments; and A J Foyt (mostly on the west panel), whose victories include the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500. Carl Lewis, winner of nine Olympics and eight World Championships gold medals in track and field, signed an OAL Bobby Brown ball that shows scattered discoloration. Jerry Glanville autographed an ONL William White baseball. Glanville coached college and pro football and drove in the NASCAR Busch and Craftsman Truck Series. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
