Lot 554.  Jennifer Capriati Autographed XL T-Shirt with Her Image. Capriati won three Grand Slam singles titles – the Australian Open in 2001 and 2002 and the French Open in 2001. She also came away with a Gold Medal in the singles competition at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Her autograph is large and nm-m 8.

Lot 555.  Bryan Trottier Signed 18” x 22.5” Poster. Nm-m 8 autograph personalized to Tommy John. The poster, which is vg-ex, recognizes Trottier as the NHL MVP and leading scorer of 1978-79. Trottier played 15 of his 18 NHL seasons with the New York Rangers. He entered the Hall of Fame in 1997.

Lot 556.  Bernie Nicholls Autographed Canadien 6001 Hockey Stick. Nm-m 8 signature on the end of the stick, where Nicholls added his uniform number, 9. Nicholls’ NHL career spanned 17 seasons at center with the Kings, Rangers, Oilers, Devils, Blackhawks and Sharks. He scored 1,209 points in 1,127 games. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 557.  Kevin McHale Autographed Boston Celtics Full-Sized Pennant. Large nm 7 to nm-m 8 autograph personalized to Tommy John’s sons. The pennant is ex. McHale helped the Celtics to win NBA championships in 1981, 1984 and 1986. Selected as one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players, he was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1999. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. It comes with a “Property of Thomas E. John” signed label.

Lot 558.  Gary Gabelich “Blue Flame” Autographed Photo. In the rocket-powered “Blue Flame,” Gabelich set a land speed record of 622.287 miles per hour on Oct. 23, 1970. The record is an average; the vehicle achieved a peak speed of 560 mph. The record stood until 1983. Gabelich died in a motorcycle accident in 1984. His signature as “Gary” is personalized and nm-m 8. A signed “Property of Thomas Edward John” label comes with this signed photo. Kevin Keating authenticated the autographs.

Lot 559.  Billy Vukovich Jr. Early 1970s Photo. The 1968 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the year in 1968, Vukovich raced from 1965-82. His best finish at Indy was second in 1973. His father won the Indianapolis 500 twice. Vukovich also raced midget cars, and he is in the Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame. Both his father and his son were killed in racing accidents. The photo is 16” x 20” and double-matted and framed to 19” x 23.75”. Vukovich wrote a note on the photo to Tommy John: “God willing another great year in 1980.” The inscription is light (ex 5 to ex-m 6) and unsigned.

Lot 560.  Mark Breland and Iran Blade Barkley Autographs. Breland’s accomplishments include five New York Golden Gloves title, a gold medal in the welterweight class at the 1984 Olympics and the WBA welterweight championship. As an actor, he has appeared in TV series and in theater films. Barkley held middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight titles. Twice he defeated Thomas Hearns. Breland’s signature is light on the white portion of an Everlast black and white glove. Vg-ex 4 to ex 5. Barkley’s is nm-m 8 on a red Everlast glove. Ink coverage is broad on “ley.” Both autographs are personalized. From Tommy John’s collection, the gloves are accompanied by two signed “Property of Thomas Edward John” labels. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
