Lot 313. 29 Different Circa 1910 Comic Postcards. These cards represent 12 sets of baseball postcards, in addition to mixed sports and non-sport sets and single postcard issues. Cards from baseball sets: 1-3. PC798-2, “A Delayed Steal” vg-ex; “A Double Steal” p-f and “Making a Squeeze” vg. These cards have a large non-sport scene at the top and a smaller baseball scene below. 4. PC798-6, “He Bit at Every Ball.” These cards present sepia P. Crosby artwork inside an embossed cream-colored frame. Vg+ 5. PC798-7, “Baseball: Out on a Foul!” Multi-colored embossed card showing a batter, an umpire, and a catcher about to grab a foul ball. P-f. 6. PC798-10, “A Close Decision.” Roth & Langley card with a 1909 copyright and the title in a somewhat decorative type style. Vg. 7.
