Lot 118. Autograph of Dave Bancroft, Hall of Fame Shortstop. Defensively, Bancroft was one of the best shortstops ever. He also was a fiery leader and decent hitter. He hit .299 or higher in six of seven seasons from 1920-26. He helped the New York Giants to win world championships in 1921 and 1922 and a pennant in 1923. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1971 and died the following year. His autograph is mint 9 on a page that pictures him and four other players. The autograph could be matted and framed for display by itself. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
