Lot 276. Jan. 27, 1969 AP Wire Photo Showing Chuck Noll on His First Day as the Steelers’ Coach. In the 6” x 8” photo, including the caption, Noll poses with Pittsburgh general manager Dan Rooney. Neither could have predicted the success that followed, as Noll turned the also-ran franchise into four-time Super Bowl champions. His teams made the playoffs 12 times in 23 seasons. Both Noll and Rooney are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This rare photo is vg-ex and has a newspaper library notation on the back.
