Lot 274. Steve Courson Autograph Authenticated by PSA/DNA and Keating. A guard for Pittsburgh and later Tampa Bay, Courson was only 50 when he died in an accident in 2005 while cutting down a tree. One of the first football players to admit using steroids during his career, he became a strong critic of their use. He signed an 8” x 10” b&w photo that shows him blocking for Franco Harris. His signature is mint 9. Courson helped the 1978 and 1979 Steelers to win Super Bowls. A PSA/DNA certificate accompanies the autograph, which has been authenticated by Kevin Keating as well.
